Review: elf Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadow

When it comes to affordable makeup, elf is constantly slaying the game. Their products are some of the highest quality for the lowest price point. The Aqua Beauty Molten Liquid Eyeshadows ($4) are a prime example.

These are not your average eyeshadows. These are liquid, and you apply them with a doe foot applicator. The way I use them is the same way I would use a cream eyeshadow: I have my basics already done (eyelids primed and set with a cream colored eyeshadow, mattes in my crease and outer corner) and I just apply this to the center of my eyelid to give that pop of shine.

The colors I picked up are Rose Gold, Brushed Copper and Liquid Gold. My favorite by far is Rose Gold, but I love Brushed Copper as well. Liquid Gold is a little too yellow gold for my taste.

I like the formula on these, I find they are easy to work with and can be forgiving if you aren’t super precise. One thing I will say is when you swatch them, they appear incredibly metallic, but when you pat out the color on your lid, it’s more subtle.

However, I find that these make for a beautiful everyday shimmer. You can always layer on the product to create a more intense shine.

When applying these, just be sure to blend out the edges so there aren’t harsh lines between the liquid eyeshadow and the rest of your look.

These are absolutely worth the $4, and I would suggest picking a couple of these up at your local drugstore.

What are your favorite elf products? Let me know in the comments!

  1. Nice review 🙂 My all time favourite elf product is their matte lipstick in praline. I wore it everyday when I went to university and had so many compliments. Gonna check these eyeshadows out next visit.
