Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks Collection and Review

These are hands down my favorite liquid lipsticks that I own. Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks ($18) have one of the best matte liquid lip formulas on the market.

L – R: Unicorn Blood, Androgyny, Rose Matter and Celebrity Skin.

I have the shades Celebrity Skin, Rose Matter, Androgyny and Unicorn Blood (I also have Watermelon Soda but chose not to include it because it’s no longer available). Out of these shades, Unicorn Blood and Celebrity Skin are the most worn, but I honestly can’t pick a favorite. I love every single one of them!

This formula is incredibly light weight and when you first apply it, it seems like the consistency is too liquid-y. However, there is so much pigment that even though it’s thin in consistency, it’s still very opaque. It only takes one layer to achieve great coverage. Also, his entire line is cruelty free and vegan, which is a major plus.

I reach for these lipsticks more than any other lipsticks I own. Once you apply these, they dry down to a complete matte, and they are so lightweight I often forget I am wearing lipstick. They are also incredibly long wearing: while they aren’t immune to greasy food, they hold up incredibly well and only require minimal reapplication after eating.

Also, these don’t crack, crumble or dry out my lips throughout the day. These are my most reliable lipsticks I own, definitely a ride or die.

The only thing that bums me out is that his liquid lipsticks sell out so fast! Because it’s an indie brand that gained a lot of popularity quickly, sometimes there is more demand than there is product. However, Jeffree has definitely been improving on that standpoint and as of right now, most of his liquid lips are in stock.

What’s your favorite liquid lip formula? Let me know in the comments!

xoxo, Jenna
