The first thing I want when the weather gets colder is a nice, warm cup of coffee – here are my go-to coffee spots in Sonoma County.
Acre Coffee – locations in Petaluma & Santa Rosa
Acre Coffee started as one cafe in downtown Petaluma, but has recently expanded to 5 locations between Petaluma and Santa Rosa. This local spot has high quality coffee with a cozy atmosphere (perfect for a little remote office!). My favorite drink at Acre is the cortado.
Flying Goat Coffee – locations in Healdsburg & Santa Rosa
Flying Goat Coffee has some of the smoothest espresso I’ve had. It’s quite luxurious. My favorite drink from FGC is the vanilla latte (they make their own vanilla syrup in house!).
A’roma Roasters Coffee & Tea – 95 5th St, Santa Rosa, CA 95401
I’ve been going to A’roma since I was a kid because they have an ice cream shop attached. I absolutely love their drink called the Valentino – it’s espresso, gelato and coconut flavor.
Holy Roast Coffee – 490 Mendocino Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95401
This little shop tucked away on Mendocino Ave shouldn’t be overlooked. Holy Roast has some of the most creative coffee drinks – my favorite is the German Chocolate, a mocha with caramel and coconut.
Brew Coffee & Beer – 55 Healdsburg Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95401
Brew is the perfect place to meet with friends – the atmosphere is warm and friendly and there is a drink for everyone. My favorite drink at Brew is their vanilla latte.
Honey Badger Coffee – 101 Golf Course Dr A-3, Rohnert Park, CA 94928
Honey Badger is a little harder to find, but it’s worth the trip. This little local spot has a lot of character, and of course, good coffee. My favorite drink at Honey Badger is the Mexican Style Mocha.
Extra: Plank Coffee – 227 N Cloverdale Blvd, Cloverdale, CA 95425
While Plank does have great coffee, I wanted to highlight my favorite drink there which is their Green Tea Matcha Latte. A great way to mix it up!
